Research and transfer in the form of program evaluations and effectiveness-oriented research, but also with the goal of establishing participatory research approaches or reconstructing the perspective of target groups and users on support configurations.

Research and transfer on the situation in outpatient healthcare, the further development of healthcare professions, the use of digital support formats such as telemedicine/telecare, and emergency care in disaster situations.

Research and transfer on the educational role of the family and institutions with educational mandates, as well as on the family in the context of emerging generational and caregiving relationships and social space networks. This also includes research on the transformation of family and life forms with changing concepts of parenthood, sexual identity, gender roles, and the status of children and adolescents in our society.

Research and transfer on issues of pedagogical professionalism, concerning the self-concept and professional understanding of educators, learning and educational processes such as the development of professional identity and personality, as well as teaching-learning arrangements at the micro and meso levels of educational practice.

Research and transfer from social work, health sciences, and legal perspectives on the situation of refugees, undocumented people, and individuals with uncertain residency status, as well as on the specific situations of women and LGBTIQ individuals within these groups, and unaccompanied minor refugees (UMF), with a particular focus on the intersectional entanglements of, among others, racism, gender, age, and socio-economic status.

Research and transfer on topics such as social space orientation as a paradigm of social work, urban theology and religion in urban spaces, community organizing as a means of transforming social spaces, and the care space and its gaps as a reference point in health and care sciences.

Research and transfer on contemporary religious cultures from the intersection of perspectives in theology, organizational psychology and sociology, as well as adult education, focusing on the reconstruction of religious semantics in contexts of social-diaconal practice and analyzing the understanding, implementation, and perception of an "Evangelical" or "diaconal profile" within church and diaconal organizations and institutions.

Research and transfer with the aim of descriptively identifying how social conflicts are addressed in society, as well as normatively evaluating them and demonstrating constructive ways to manage social conflicts.
